Beverly Osu, Big Brother Africa Housemate, tells ‘NONYE BEN-NWANKWO about her stay in the reality show and her relationship with Angelo, the South African housemate What was your experience like in the Big Brother house? It was very good. It was great getting to know people in the house. My 91 days there are days I will never forget. How did you get into the reality show? I have always been a fan of the BBA. I got the form this year and everybody told me I should try and be a part of it. I went for the audition and I was successful. How did you manage the whole 91 days without a mobile phone? It was very hard but I had to bear it. Were you surprised that you were the first to be evicted during the finals? I wasn’t surprised. I knew Nigeria had won it so many times and it might be difficult winning it again. But I still prayed and wished that God would make it happen. But as it didn’t happen, I was still very okay. Beverly Osu, one of Nigeria’s representatives at the just concluded Big Brother The Chase, has said that contrary to the general assumption about what happened between her and fellow housemate, Angelo, while in the house, she never had sex both in the bathtub and under the duvet. “Nothing happened between me and Angelo. I didn’t have sex in the house. Though there were awkward moments, we never had sex. I know what happened then between us but we never got down to have sex,” Beverly said while speaking at a media briefing in Lagos Thursday. She disclosed that what happened between her and the South African housemate was real because she genuinely loved him. “We talk everyday. He loves me and I still love him. I would get married to him if I had the chance,” said Beverly. She said her 3-month stay in the Big Brother House was a lifetime experience and whatever people saw there was her real self with no pretence. She said in spite of revelations concerning her lifes

AT the last eviction show, where South Africa’s representative Angelo and Ethiopia’s Bimp were evicted from the Big Brother Africa, observes tipped Nigeria’s Melvin and Namibia’s Dillish for the big prize. Forget their fine faces, both housemates have a lot going for them. With that on mind, everyone waited for that moment when both Melvin and Dillish would be the only ones left in the House. But at the grand finale, the results were different; it was a shocker for many. Nigeria’s second contender Beverley was the first to be evicted from the house; to many, that was expected. H ow do you feel winning the Big Brother show? I feel great. Winning the money is a great opportunity. It is a lifetime experience in the house. The money is going to change my life. I didn’t see myself as the winner, but things changed for me, especially the week I was up for eviction alongside Angelo and Bimp. Finally Namibia’s Dillish has entered history as one of the winners of the Big Brother Africa game, she has managed to beat all her fellow housemates that made it to the final with her. The sexy Namibian lass actually won it with one vote more than the Zambian female rapper Cleo, Dillish got five votes from Africa while Cleo got four from Africa. Dillish’s victory is one that won’t be forgotten by all the Big Brother Africa fans as she didn’t spent 91 days in the Big Brother house without being Head of House at any one moment. The last week of Chasers was somewhat eventful but they wouldn’t have it any other way. With the Eviction of two of the most powerful contenders Angelo and Bimp, life had to go on even though some of the Housemates took time to get over losing two good friends, Beverly being the one that felt it the most. The week has started off with Melvin being the last leader of the pack after Bimp, who was supposed to be Head of House, had been Evicted from the House. Melvin was the runner up on the previous week’s HoH challenge and was therefore the fitting leader this week. Diary sessions in the past week had been a mixture of emotions especially when Biggie had asked the Housemates how they felt about the Eviction of their friends Angelo and Bimp, and of course what their predictions were about the winner of The Chase. As usual on a Sunday, the remaining Chasers had their last complimentary hairdo before tonight’s show. The hairstylists gave the Top 5 a warm welcome as they took their seats and readied themselves for a make-over. Melvin and Cleo had their haircuts first. Zambian rapper  Cleo  had her side hairs trimmed first and then the barber relaxed it for her.  Melvin  also had his hair relaxed after they trimmed it, they also touched up his moustache. The gorgeous Dillish’s weave also went through some changes but was treated with conditioner first before she had to sit under a dryer for what felt like eternity to her. Needless to say, whatever she has on her head will always compliment her beauty, so in this regard she is never worried. Today is D day and some of the Housemates have decided to sleep in, as usual on a Sunday morning, pending tonight’s crowning of Big Brother Africa The Chase winner, who will walk away with the grand prize of the USD 300 000. If last night’s Channel O Party with DJ Exclusive was anything to go by, the Housemates closed this season with a bang and a half. Elikem was one of the first to rise this morning, taking a walk in the garden while gathering his thoughts and probably praying hard that he walks away with the money tonight. With just his ONE Campaign sweater on and his briefs, he paced the garden clearly weighing a lot on his mind. Zambian rapper Cleo was also awake and she decided to go downstairs to see what she could do. She met up with a busy Elikem and exchanged a few words before heading back to the room again.   Beverly Ada Osu, Nigeria’s representative can’t seem to keep her personal business out of the competition but then again that’s what reality shows are for right? While sharing one of her many precious moments with ‘boyfriend’ Angelo, Beverly, 21, disclosed to her ‘boyfriend’ that at one point in her life, she slept with men for money to take care of her family while her mother was away in the US. “I’ve done all sorts. I’ve slept with men for money when I had to take care of my family,” she confided in South African rep Angelo. Earlier, Beverly had revealed that she had a four-month baby aborted and that her mother was deported from the US. She also stated that she has never regretted ‘drinking, smoking, clubbing, partying, meeting with people’ except dating her ex-boyfriend 2shotz. The rapper weeks ago denied getting engaged with the video vixen/model. Beverly shocked Nigerian audiences when she got extra cosy with Angelo two weeks ago.

Talk about so close yet so far! After making it to the top 7 in The Chase, South Africa’s Angelo has become the 22nd Housemate to be Evicted from The Chase. Just like a tornado sweeping everything that is in its sight, the curse of the couples has swept through the Big Brother House and tonight it reared its ugly head once again. The final couple in the House Bengelo has been torn apart, at least for the time being. Angelo did not even get a chance to say goodbye to his lady love tonight because the Nominated Housemates were called into the Rendezvous Room. As soon as IK announced him as the second Evicted Housemate of the night, Angelo walked out the Rendezvous Room and head to the Live Show stage for a heart to heart chat with the presenter. “I think if Bimp did not have a girlfriend, he and Beverly would have had something,” Angelo confessed on stage. Bimp who was sitting next to Angelo clarified his relationship with Beverly saying that he has never seen her

Ruby resident Bimp ‘s Chase has sadly ended today after he was Evicted from the show after 84 days filled with mixed emotions. Bimp has generally enjoyed his Chase and has also kept a cool head towards his fellow Housemates. Even when his buddy and ‘brother from another mother’ Nando was disqualified, he didn’t confront Elikem who was part of the altercation that led to the Tanzanian’s immature exit but rather told him how he felt and the two gents talked things over. Prior to his Eviction, host IK told all the nominated Housemates to head to the Rendezvous room. He was the first one to get the boot and was not allowed to head back to the house to bid farewell to the others, he only had 10 seconds to exit. Bimp’s boot means that Ethiopia is officially out of the Chase after Betty, another Ethiopian got Evicted after a month on the show. You definitely fought a good battle Bimp, all the best for the future!

Beverly had to be carried to bed twice this evening, after she had downed a little too much to drink. Drinking in the Big Brother is something of a sport. Nigeria’s Beverly is a great player, as evidenced by her many drunken shenanigans since The Chase started. This evening, Beverly ran amok, stumbling about the House as her man watched. When Beverly tried to get Angelo to tuck her in, Angelo told her “Beverly, you’re not that drunk.” Beverly then found solace in Bimp, who led her upstairs and attempted to tuck her in. As soon as she lay her head on her pillow, Bimp looked for her pyjama bottoms, found them and helped her into them. Beverly looked grateful, but unfortunately as soon as Bimp attempted to leave the bedroom, Beverly followed. She then sat with her fellow Housemates, ate and engaged them in a lively but drunken conversation. Angelo then walked off in a huff and retired, leaving his lady yapping. Melvin then helped Beverly upstairs and gave her a goodnight

Every Sunday, the Big Brother House goes short of a housemate or two and so will today. After all yesterday’s fun, Sunday is here again to be worried about. Today’s Nominees Cleo,Dillish and Feza will be meeting their fate in the battle for the US$300,000 grand prize. With just eight housemates remaining and two weeks to go,the pressure in the game has now mounted and tensions are spiraling out of control so the rest that the Housemates are getting this morning is a much needed one. With the voting closed at this particular juncture,the most awaited moment is the eviction hour where we’ll get to know who Africa decided to keep in the chase and who’ll pack back home. Aggie, the escaped mental patient, was murdered this evening during an intimate dinner hosted by the Chasemates and Big Brother's Butler, Mike Withers. The big question is who did it? Could it have been Flashy Ron the Bookmaker, who told the cops to "Put her in the fridge next to the frozen peas," as soon as her body was discovered? Could be, because after all, he was asked to go outside to move his car a couple of minutes before the murder happened. Then again it could have been Angelica, the money grabbing widow who "doesn't do mourning". At the time of Aggie's murder, Angelica had disappeared to the bathroom because she was depressed after an altercation with the dead mental patient. Melvin's inner detective seemed to believe Ron or Angelica were the prime suspects. It looks like things are moving on well for the Bengelo and if we are to go by the words, sooner or later we’ll hear the church bells ringing for them. Well Beverly sure can hear them. This evening the young Ruby revealed to her fellow Housemates that she plans on getting hitched next year, saying: “I am ripe for marriage”. “But you are too young,” Cleo tried to advise the 21 year old. But that piece of advice seemed to go in the one ear and out the other for the Nigerian. “I am tired of having boyfriend,” she responded. The fact that the sexy model is not currently engaged and has only recently taken up a relationship with, South African Housemate, Angelo is not going to deter her one bit from her mission either. When asked by her fellow Housemates what she would do if the South African does not want to tie the know next year, she replied: “There are lots of other fish in the sea”. The Bengelo’s must be enjoying their every last minute of honeymoon in the Big Brother House and therefore, they need no haters around. After a busy day tackling the Task at hand and raising awareness about the various problems that Africans face on a day to day basis for the ONE Campaign Week, Bengelo found the perfect way to unwind. Ruby lovebirds Angelo and Beverly turned the bedroom into their own little personal massage parlour. The Nigerian hopped upon the bed and lied face down, her man then mounted on her back like a cowboy in a rodeo show. He poured a bit of massage oil on her and proceeded to work his magic hands on her body. The raunchy young model even let out a few moans as he rubbed her down. Hmmm, so these are the perks of being the only couple still in The Chase? Must be nice!

Being on the chop list can never be easy for any housemate as it comes with it having to bear with the stress for a whole week! Zambian rap Empress Cleo seems to be one of the victims after she confided in Big Brother that being up has not been easy for and she’s already scared of what might happen on Sunday. “I’m nervous about Sunday. But it’s 50/50. I’m hopeful,” she revealed. Cleo has been up twice already during weeks six and seven only to be saved by Africa, ever since then, she seemed to be playing her game quite well until this week when probably the Rubies realized that she could be a threat and thus threw her under the bus. She also seemed to be perturbed by the fact that she was nominated: “I’d love to know the reasons why I’m nominated,” she inquired. Biggie advised her that being nominated is part of the game thus she shouldn’t be worried about anything. Cleo is up against two other beauties in Dillish and Feza !

Figuring out which specific record the young Nigerian model is about to set? Wonder no more. As the Chase nears it’s final two weeks and last nomination week, Beverly will have set a record as the only Chasemate who was never put up for possible Eviction should her name not come up on Monday next week. Her game started off on a high note winning the first ever HOH task in the Ruby house in week 1. Since then, the video vixen could only come close to winning the subsequent HOH tasks but she still managed to make it all through to the current week (11) without being nominated. She’s currently the Ruby HOH which makes her having to only negotiate next week’s Monday nominations and be sure of a spot in the grand finale. Beverly seems to be on some sort of lucky streak and most probably, the relationships she’s formed in the house even before the sensational merger have somewhat made her get to where she’s today in her game. With only three weeks left for The Chase to end, Botswana has also joined the other countries whose representatives were both evicted from the Big Brother house. After Motamma was evicted from the house in the first weeks of the game, Botswana only remained with only one representative in Oneal. For yesterday’s Eviction, Big Brother decided to only evict one housemate due to the fact he had disqualified Tanzania’s Nando from the house a week ago on Sunday. Oneal’s Eviction came as a result of being nominated by his fellow housemates on Monday last week, the DJ from Botswana was sent back home after he got only two votes from Africa, that’s from Botswana and South Africa. Oneal was very creative and talented in art and he will always be remembered for his art pieces and work especially during the tasks Big Brother has been giving the housemates. And after last night’s eviction we are only left with only eight housemates in the Big Brother house.

Right after the eviction show  that saw Oneal exiting the Big Brother House,Feza headed upstairs as she tried to change out of her Sunday. With her man now out of the game, Feza cried quietly at the prospect of facing cold nights alone in her bed. The Tanzanian looked confused and at some point even forgot Elikem’s name. “Who is this guy that’s Head of House again? Who is this guy?” she asked, before Angelo came to her rescue and told her “It’s Elikem.” Feza quickly wrote Oneal a note and shoved it into a plastic bag that had Oneal’s flip flops in it. “Elikem please go with it to the Diary Room. It’s for Oneal,” she said. Elikem did as requested, while Feza headed outside for a smoke with Bimp. “Now I’ll have to sleep alone,” she told Beverly, who had just joined them. Will Feza survive without Oneal or is she finally going to start spending more time getting to know her fellow Housemates instead of locking herself away?

The Chase is on, even the quiet ones will go wild! As soon as the lights went off, Bimp and Dillish decided to tumble about and play in the big singles bed. Dillish put on her princess accent and when Bimp tickled her, touched her booty and asked her “What is this?” Dillish told the Ethiopian in her princess voice, “It’s my bum”. The two then play fought like little children, until Melvin and Cleo gave up on the idea of sleep. The two then woke up for along chat with Dillish and Bimp. In the other bedroom, Feza slept alone, courtesy of her man’s Eviction earlier in the evening. As soon as she climbed off Bimp in the Jacuzzi, Beverly headed to bed to call it a night. After kissing for a while, Angelo extracted himself from Bev’s lips long enough to tell her “tomorrow is a long day. Let’s sleep,” he said. The Chasemates definitely need their rest. Tomorrow is Nominations day and those Nominations Sessions are sure to be dramatic and energy sapping!

The fake Emeralds’ Chase comes to a halt tonight and boy did they shake things up in the House! Their mission was to blend in with the Chasemates without being caught out for actually being Biggie’s moles. It looks like they managed to pull that one off by the skin of their teeth as some doubting-Thomases like Annabel proved to be hard to convince. Cracking Pokello and Elikem’s bond was not as easy as it looked when Eveva was sitting on her couch back home, and the Zim diva left before Eveva could pounce on her man. Even in Pokello’s absence, the Zambian massage therapist didn’t really make her move but threw in a much needed foot massage. In fact, she said in her Diary Session, that she doesn’t like Elikem anymore. She said she’s lost interest in the Ghanaian stud. As the Chasemates present their act their movies tonight as part of the  task presentation, AfricaMagic Viewers Choice Awards 2013 winners,Jackie Appiah and Akin Omotoso will be making an appearance in the House for the Big Brother Ghandour Film Festival. Ghanaian actress Appiah won the inaugural AfricaMagic Viewers Choice Award for Best Actress (Drama) for her role in Perfect Picture while Nigerian born Omotoso snagged the coveted Best Directer Award. And tonight this talented twosome will make use of their knowledge and experience in the film industry to evaluate the Housemates’ performance. We can’t wait! Since last week when all the three houses were merged, the one former Emerald who seems to be enjoying the Big Brother experience the most is the Zimbabwean young dude “JJ”. Today in the morning after the housemates had their morning exercise routine, the young hunk made his way in the garden and began dancing and surely he did work his hips. When he felt like it was enough, he then decided to switch to what he does best. Like he has always been doing, JJ turned the Ruby garden into a gym. He lifted weights up and down, stretched his hands while lifting these arms and generally it was quite a remarkable workout. Talking about exercising, there are some housemates who really do not like exercising at all and the fact that it’s compulsory for housemates to attend the morning exercise, thy end up missing out. It seems like housemates have now began to show some of their habits that they had decided to hide from us. It has now come out that selfishness in Big Brother’s house has become the order of the day because most of the housemates don’t prefer sharing what they have with others. During her Diary session, South Africa’s Busi revealed it to Big Brother that some housemates have now decided to hide their products from the rest. Big Brother then asked her to specify to him which housemates do hide their products. However her fellow former Emerald Jazz had earlier on complained in her Diary session earlier that Busi takes and uses her products without asking her first. So that is why Big Brother asked Busi because he wanted to find out what she had to say on people utilizing other people’s things without asking for them. The South African went on to tell Big Brother that she really does not understand why some of her fellow housemates would hide their things from others

It all Seems like the young Ghanaian was very much into Pokello than it actually looked like. During his Diary Session today, him and Big Brother were talking about him being nominated consecutively. He was actually very confident while talking about the whole issue of him being nominated, he told Big Brother that he does not mind if his fellow housemates nominate him because he also walked into the Diary Room and nominated two housemates only that they did not make it to the nominees list. He added that if at all he is evicted on Sunday, he will take it very easily and the fact that he will be out of the game does not mean that he is a loser. When Big Brother asked him if being nominated those many times will not affect him while playing the game, “Honestly I will not mind leaving the Big Brother house and being nominated does not affect me while playing the game but Pokello’s eviction from the Big Brother house affected me a lot though I am now back to normal”.

“We are getting more serious. No more arguments. I know am now submissive but for a relationship to workout, one has to go down a little bit,” Feza clarified on her relationship with her Tswana boo Oneal . During her Diary, the Tanzanian song bird said that they had “reached somewhere” in the relationship and only time will tell. She stressed that Oneal is so analytical but she had no problem being submissive to him because at the end of the day, a relationship can’t workout if both people are always trying to prove a point. Feza seems to be ready to go all the way with Oneal because she said that she’ll do all she can to see it workout adding that the numerous arguments they always had with Oneal initially had become history, she pointed out that when Oneal wrongs her and she becomes annoyed, it becomes so hard for her to relate with other housemates. During most of their Diary Session yesterday, the Housemates seemed to have been shocked by Bassey’s eviction on Sunday. “Bassey was Sulu said. Cleo reminisced about all the fun times she and the Sierra Leonean have had since they first met. “I’m so sad he’s not here. It seems the newest couple in town have had enough of the ‘orientation’ and decided that taking it slow and giving each other space was the way to go. This is what Ruby love birds Angelo and Beverly decided to do because they feel it would in a way help in the growth of their young relationship. “Me and Angelo are giving each other space. During our first time in the Rendezvous room, we were on each others throats but the second time we discussed basic things about our lives and that’s good,” Beverly shared in the Diary room yesterday. Angelo also shared the same sentiments and said that he was eager to know Beverly better and doesn’t want her to think that he’s with her because he just wants to sleep with her. Zimbabwean Big Brother The Chase rep Pokello Nare has been Evicted from Big Brother house after 56 days and just four weeks to the grand finale. The 27 year-old designer and entrepreneur has been lucky after being saved by Africa a record four times but as fate would have it, she didn’t make it beyond today. Sierra Leone’s Bassey got the first boot today, the 15th of the Chase and Pokello got the second and the 16th of the Chase. Pokello was up against Dillish, Angelo and Annabel and unfortunately her luck ran out today. After Natasha’s boot last week, it seems when the Chasemates decide to get rid of a housemate, they will surely do all they can to do just that. Pokello who joined host IK shrtly after her eviction revealed that she was seriously feeling Elikem irrespecive of the fcat that hse had a relationship back home. All the best Pokello and there’s definitely a life after Big Brother, hopefully, she exploits the platform to the best of her abilities.

The fact that all the three houses were merged yesterday, Big Brother had to make sure their is only one Head of House because initially Alusa was awaiting to become Head of House in the fake Emerald house, Angelo was awaiting to become Head of House in the Ruby and Bimp was waiting to be  Diamond Head of House come next week. All the housemates had a feeling that they were going to participate in the Head of House for the three merged houses, but Big Brother first chose three Housemates, Bimp, Alusa and Angelo, to take part in the Head of House task. Big Brother’s ninja placed three rubber rings in the garden and on the other side there was a wooden stand. The three housemates who were going to compete had to line up on the red line in the garden and when the buzzer went off, one at a time, they threw the rubber ring towards the wooden stand.
