Zambia’s Big Brother Amplified duo in Kenya

ZAMBIA’S Envoys to the Big Brother Amplified reality show Mumba and Kim are in Kenya on an invitation from that country’s BBA envoy Millicent to be part of the Jigger eradication charity event.
The two took off from the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport aboard Kenya Airways on Thursday October 20, 2011 ahead of the event that takes place today.
Apart from reuniting with former housemates and to some extent lover’s in the case of Kim, the Zambian divas will have an opportunity to mingle and interact with their enthusiasts from that country as a programme to tour Kenya’s capital Nairobi has been drawn out for them.

The Samsung sponsored trip aimed at helping to raise funds for the Jigger project. They had a scheduled press conference to face the Kenyan media in the morning of yesterday.
According to a programme released in Lusaka, later the Big Brother Amplified branded celebrities were to pay a courtesy call on senior government officials on that county’s national hero’s day that falls on October 21.
Today Mumba and Kim together with other former Amplified housemates that includes Malawi’s Lomwe will be expected to carry out the charity work at the Jigger medical camp and later in the evening a red carpet party would be hosted in their honour.
Executive director of the project Dr Stanley Kamau Maina says the visit for the two Zambians is a huge contribution to the project of saving at least a life of a child from not only Kenya but across the continent.
“Your visit to the country will be a very huge contribution to the project and no amount of money can pay for that, ” he says.
Speaking shortly before departure Kim told Times entertainment that it would be interesting to meet with both of her love interests in Lomwe and Nic. She also wishes other corporate partners could organise a similar event in Zambia.
“Meeting Lomwe and Nic at the same time will be very interesting… but that’s how life is, I can’t wait to see them both and,” she said
And Mumba says her charity tour for Kenya will make a difference especially in the lives of the needy and she could not equally wait to meet with her former housemates.
The duo is expected back home on October 23, a day before Zambia’s 48th independence anniversary with the new republican President Michael Sata set for his maiden investiture ceremony.
