Now You Can Bring Your Girlfriend to Big Brother Africa

Big Brother Africa Tie The Knot In Abuja.
MNet has announced that housemates in the 2012 edition of their popular reality TV series, Big Brother Africa, can bring their boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands or wives to the big brother house.
Actually, it will not be possible to enter the reality show alone as a housemate. The requirement for this, the seventh edition of the show, is that you bring a partner along to qualify to enter the house.
According to a statement released by M-Net yesterday, this season there is a requirement for entrants to partner with another person to enter as a pair. That other person can be a best friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, mom, dad, brother, sister, boss, husband, wife, neighbour, hairdresser- anyone.

Liz Dziva, publicity and public relations manager for MultiChoice Zimbabwe explained, “The question to each would-be entrant therefore, is: ‘so who will take the journey of a lifetime with you? Remember that you may have to spend a long time with them in the house, so choose carefully.’”
Another twist is that people will vote for pairs and not for individuals. The prize money for the winning pair? A whopping US$300 000! Both partners must come from the same country, must be 21 years of age or older, must be fluent in English and must have valid passports.
Big Brother Africa will this year see the addition of two new countries to the show- Liberia and Sierra Leone and the dropping out of Ethiopia from the fray.
A special role- yet to be announced- has been assigned to Mozambique.
So, if you are a citizen of Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia or Zimbabwe, get your game face on- auditions are coming your way soon.
Interested? You can collect entry forms from MultiChoice Zimbabwe offices after February 5, or you can visit www.mnetafrica.com/bigbrother and complete the form online.
Alternatively, the form can be downloaded from the above website, completed and e-mailed to bba@endemol.co.za. Online entry forms will also be available from February 5.
The deadline for entries is February 27.
“Entrants must be fun-loving, vocal, creative, original and articulate. In addition all entrants must the social flexibility to live in close proximity with others and must be tolerant of views and lifestyle choices other than their own.”
The series starts airing on Sunday May 6, 2012 and and will be screened to 47 countries across the continent, live 24/7 for 91 days on DStv’s channel 198.
The new season of Big Brother Africa will be headline sponsored by Coca-Cola for the second consecutive year and will continue to be produced by Endemol for M-Net South Africa.
