Former United Kingdom (UK) Big Brother contestant Makosi Musambasi is keen to join 2013 Big Brother Africa. The controversial Musambasi who was part of the UK Big Brother in 2006, attended auditions for Big Brother Africa in Harare yesterday along with equally colourful socialite and fashionista Pokello Nare, dancehall queen Lady Squanda and urban groover Taurai Mandebvu. The auditions also involved former Miss Curvy Tanya Chikuni and Lady Squanda’s boyfriend DJ Stayera. But it is the controversial Makosi’s participation in the Big Brother Africa auditions that is to stoke interest.

MultiChoice Botswana will this Friday and Saturday host auditions in search for a candidate who will represent the country at this year’s Big Brother Africa (BBA) competition that is billed to start on May 26. It is expected that 14 African countries, including Botswana, will take part in this year’s eighth season of the competition.In an interview with Showbiz, MultiChoice Public Relations Executive, Tshepo Maphanyane said that they are faced with a challenge of selecting Botswana’s next representative in the BBA house. She however said that through the auditions she is certain they will be able to identify a suitable candidate to represent the country.

Close to 100 people took part in the Big Brother Africa (BBA) Season 8 auditions that started on Monday and ended on Wednesday at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe. MultiChoice Malawi Sales and Marketing Manager Chimwemwe Nyirenda said they would have loved to audition more people but they were satisfied with the figure. “We had close to 100 people auditioning which is a good number. Now we will be waiting for the housemate who will represent Malawi,” said Nyirenda.

Thousands of youth flew in to Lagos, Nigeria to take part in the four-day open auditions for shortlisted candidates in Nigeria for this year Big Brother Africa which held at the Protea Hotel Leadway, Maryland, Lagos.
