D-Black With BBA Stars Barbz, Vimbai, Lomwe Land $150,000 Deal

Ghanaian rapper, D-Black has landed a super deal with communication company, rLG which also sees him appearing as lead Celebrity in the television commercial for the ultra modern brand of phones known as the rLG ‘VIVA’. D-Black is rumoured to have raked in about $150,000 for his appearance in the ad alone. The rapper tweeted some photos from the TVC shoot for the rLG VIVA phone, which also features Big Brother Africa celebrities Barbz (South Africa), Lomwe (Malawi), Vimbai (Zimababwe) and Ghanaian music group, R2Bees.

Not too long ago, Karen Igho was slapped ruthlessly by a security guard at a smirnoff party in Lekki, Lagos. Some bloggers went as far as reporting that she sued smirnoff for the sum of 50million as damages. It appears the Big Brother Africa star has had a rethink about the whole issue. To all those who looked on from your screens, here comes a chance next week to represent Uganda. In case you want to be the next Kyle or the next Jannette aka Little Princess, then you should prepare yourself. Big Brother Africa season 8 Live auditions would begin next week in some countries. Even as OJ Oballa Kenya King of Facebook declared that he would want to represent Kenya this season, and win the grand prize which was lost by Prezzo to Keagan last year. Date and venues will be announced soon. Watchout!!! Though the venues in Uganda have not been communicated yet, we will keep you updated. One of Uganda’s big music artistes is rumoured to be among those that will be auditioning. So Africa are you ready for auditions???

Kenya’s Kingof Facebook, OJ Oballa, has become the first person to declare his interest in representing the country during the eighth season of Africa’s biggest reality show. “I declare my interest to represent my Country in this year’s Big Brother Africa show set to start in May,” posted the FB King.

Pay-per-view cable television provider MNet has said the search for housemates for the 2013 edition of the Big Brother Africa reality television show, begins on January 8. “The demand from audiences for Big Brother Africa continues undimmed. In some ways it really is astonishing to see the enthusiasm for this particular series, but in other ways it is to be expected,” M-Net Africa Managing Director says. “Viewers want to see unscripted television, as it happens, with normal people that they can relate to dealing with completely familiar emotional concepts – happiness, frustration, success, failure, hope, anxiety, friendship, opportunity and of course, love.

A little over 6 months after the deadly crash that claimed over 150 lives, Dana Air has resumed flying domestic flights. The FAAN had initially grounded operations of Dana air after the plane crash on June 3rd 2012. Today the airline made its first flight since that incident, flying from Lagos to Abuja. On board the inaugural flight where government officials from regulatory agencies such as the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), and entertainers such as Basket Mouth, Denrele, Karen Igho of Big Brother Africa fame, Durela, Buchi and Bovi. The NCAA in December reinstated the Air Operators Certificate to Dana Air after the airline had completed the necessary re-certification processes.
